Calf Stretch With Hands Against Wall

Execution Guide

  1. Stand facing a wall with hands placed flat against it at chest height.
  2. Step one foot back about 2-3 feet, keeping the heel on the floor.
  3. Bend the front knee while keeping the back leg straight.
  4. Lean into the wall until you feel a stretch in the back calf.
  5. Hold for 20-30 seconds and switch legs.

Range of Motion

Upright to leaning forward with a deep calf stretch.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • ×Lifting the back heel off the floor
  • ×Bending the back knee (reduces gastrocnemius stretch)
  • ×Bouncing instead of holding
