Dumbbell Seated Preacher Curl

Execution Guide

  1. Sit at the preacher bench with your upper arm flat on the pad.
  2. Hold the dumbbell with an underhand grip, arm fully extended.
  3. Curl the dumbbell up by contracting the bicep.
  4. Squeeze at the top of the movement.
  5. Lower the dumbbell slowly to near-full extension.

Range of Motion

Near-full extension to full contraction.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • ×Lifting the elbow off the pad
  • ×Dropping the weight instead of controlling the eccentric
  • ×Hyperextending the elbow at the bottom
