Step-up on Step Box

Execution Guide

  1. Stand in front of a box or bench with optional dumbbells at your sides.
  2. Step up with one foot, placing it fully on the box.
  3. Drive through the heel of the top foot to step up completely.
  4. Stand tall on the box with both feet.
  5. Step back down with the trailing leg and repeat.

Range of Motion

Floor level to full standing on the box.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

  • ×Pushing off with the trailing leg instead of driving with the lead leg
  • ×Leaning too far forward
  • ×Using a box that is too high, compromising form
